DSJ 2. Europäische Jugend-Einzelmeisterschaften im Blitz- und Schnellschach

Vom 15. bis 22. August 2002 werden die Turniere in Novi Sad (Jugoslawien) ausgetragen.

EUROPEAN
INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS
FOR YOUTH AND JUNIORS (RAPID AND BLITZ)

Organizer:  Yugoslav Chess Federation

Date:     August, 15th – 22nd,2002
               August, 15th - Arrivalof participants – Registration; Opening ceremony - 20.00h;
   
           August, 21st - Closingceremony 21.30h;  August 22nd- Departure of participants;

Venue:  Novi Sad (geographic position – 70 km from Belgrade Airport, on theInternational Highway Vienna-Budapest-Belgrade-Skopje-Athens. Organizer willprovide transportation for all participants from the airport (Belgrade) to thehotel and back for  25 EUR - perperson.

Accommodation:

                 The Hotel "Park" ****, in Novi Sad (there are three openswimming pools).
                 The Hotel is only 1 km away from thelongest beach on the Danube.

HotelPrice:

                 30 EUR per person daily in a single room (Costs for full board)
                 25 EUR per person daily in a double room (Costs for full board)

VenueHall:

                  The Hall of the business Centre of Novi Sad Fair (300 m distance fromHotel "Park)

Competitions:

1.      INDIVIDUAL EUROPEAN  CHAMPIONSHIPS –RAPID

  •  9 rounds played according to the Swiss System, 30 minutes per player

  • Categories: boys and girls under 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and absolute category under 20

  • Entry fee: 20 EUR per participant

  • Prizes: The three best players in each categories win  cups, medals and diplomas, will the best five players will also be awarded prizes in different items ( clothing, footwear, sport and chess articles, literature, gifts of our sponsors). The total of our prize fund will be 12 categories x minimum 1.000 EUR = 12.000 EUR in goods, and very special prizes for the best boy and girl under 8 years of age.

  • NOTE: If some of the categories lack the number of participants, Organizer has the right to join two categories or change the competition system.

 2.EUROPEAN RAPID CUP - RAPID SUPER FINAL

  • The five best players in each categories of Individual European Championships - Rapid 2002, for youth and juniors, may enter Rapid Super Final (5 player x 6 categories - under 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 = 30 players, + 1 best player under 8, + 1 player will be selected by Organizer). Altogether 32 players (separate boys and girls), will play 5 rounds matches (2 rapid games G - 15`), by knock - out system.

  • Prizes:1. = 500 EUR in cash,  2. = 250EUR in cash,  3. = 150 EUR incash,  4. = 100 EUR in cash, 5.-8.= 50 EUR in goods. The total of our prize fund will be 2 categories (boys andgirls) x minimum 1000 EUR = 2.000 EUR in cash and 400 EUR in goods.

 3.TEAM  EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - RAPID

  • Twocategories, under 14 and under 20

  • Teamsare composed of 3 boys + 1 girl and maximum 2 reserves

  • EachNational Federation may enter as many teams as they like. One Team may haveplayers from two National Federation at the most;Tempo:15 minutes per player; Swiss System in 7 rounds

  • Entryfee: 5 EUR per participant

  • Prizes:The three best teams in both categories win cups, medals and diplomas, andwill also be awarded prices in different items (clothing, footwear, sport andchess articles, literature, gifts of our sponsors).

 4. INDIVIDUAL EUROPEANCHAMPIONSHIPS - BLITZ

  • Twocategories, under 14 and under 20 separate for boys and girl

  • Tempo:5 minutes per player, Swiss System in 9 rounds

  •  Entryfee: 5 EUR per participant

  • Prizes:The three best players in both categories win cups, medals and diplomas, 

  • whilethe best five players will also be awarded prizes in different items(clothing, footwear, sport and chess articles, literature, gifts of oursponsors), and very special  prizesfor  the best boy and girl under 8 years of age.

 

5.FIRST EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN SOLVING CHESS PROBLEMS

 

·        Twocategories, under 14 and under 20

·        Prizes:The three best players in both categories win cups, medals and diplomas,

whilethe best five players will also be awarded prizes in different items(clothing, footwear, sport and chess articles, literature, gifts of oursponsors), and very special  prizesfor  the best boy and girl under 8 years of age.

                                  

Thetotal of the prize fund in gifts for all events will be over 15.000 EUR ingoods, as well as additional souvenirs and daily refreshments (free softdrinks and cakes, etc.) for each participant.
